Dr. Zhiming Cui is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering at ShanghaiTech University. He received his Ph.D. from the Computer Vision and Graphics Group at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he was supervised by Prof. Wenping Wang. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Northeastern University in 2014 and 2017. During his Ph.D. study, he also visited United Imaging Intelligence (UII) and ShanghaiTech University, advised by Prof. Dinggang Shen. His work has been published in leading journals and conferences, including Nature Communications, Cell Reports Medicine, NPJ Digital Medicine, TMI, MedIA, TNNLS, MICCAI, CVPR, and ECCV.

IMPACT Lab was founded by Dr. Cui in 2022 after he joined ShanghaiTech BME. The lab integrates artificial intelligence and computer graphics for medical imaging, with a focus on medical image computing, image reconstruction (e.g., CBCT, DSA, and PET/CT), and digital dentistry.
